Cresol RH 40 and RH 50 · also called polyoxyl 40/50 hydrogenated castor oil
Non-ionic solubilisers and emulsifiers made by reacting hydrogenated castor oil with 40 or 50 moles of ethylene oxide. They bring oils, fragrances, fat-soluble vitamins and poorly water-soluble APIs into clear water-based products. Both grades are produced in our own plant in Gujarat, and every batch ships with its certificate of analysis.

Why formulators use it
Clear solutions
Solubilises oils, fragrances and fat-soluble actives so water-based products stay clear. RH 40 is the usual starting point; RH 50 is more hydrophilic.
Mild and low-odour
Non-ionic, with a faint odour and near-neutral pH, so it suits skin care, oral and topical products.
Pharmacopoeia grades
Made to IP, USP, BP and EP specifications where applicable. The COA states the standard each batch was tested against.
Applications
Industrial
Detergents, cleaning agents and agrochemical formulations, and as a non-ionic emulsifier in speciality products.
Cosmetics and personal care
Clear shampoos, gels, toners and lotions. Solubilises essential oils and fragrances, and emulsifies oil-in-water systems.
Pharmaceuticals
Solubilises fat-soluble vitamins, carries poorly water-soluble APIs, and emulsifies oral liquids and topical products.
